Decade-long droughts and ferocious bush fires in Australia are impacts already experienced that are exacerbated by climate change. Low lying Pacific islands will also be vulnerable to sea level rise and an increased frequency in extreme weather events while the ocean itself will become progressively more acidic with adverse effects on marine ecosystems and fisheries.
